Your life without a computer: what does it look like?

It’s hard to imagine my life without a computer. Working from home, technology is my lifeline. It’s literally my office, my classroom, and sometimes my main connection to the world. I’m a homebody, so some days I don’t even leave my house.

Without technology, my days would look completely different. Things that take minutes now would stretch into hours. I would have to go back to working in-person again. The horror!

Imagine school with no computer. They did it back in the day, but I couldn’t imagine getting through college without technology. Writing a scientific research paper with no access to the internet? I don’t know if I could do it.

But imagining this slower, unplugged life also reminds me how much I genuinely appreciate technology. Despite the distractions and overwhelm it sometimes brings, it gives me the freedom to live a lifestyle I love.

I get to be flexible, creative, and connected from the comfort of my home. My computer is the gateway to new opportunities. It has enabled me to create this life that I built on my own terms.

Even in a world where screens dominate, I stay grounded by spending time in nature, hanging out with the people I love, and enjoying the present moment. Without technology, life would be simpler in a lot of ways. Still, I’m so grateful for the creativity and independence it allows me to enjoy every single day. It’s pretty awesome.
